Outerwear

Outerwear is where Dahlia spends money she does not have on coats she does not need in Las Vegas. Long wool coats in black and camel, biker jackets in every state of wear, a trench for the four days a year it rains, a faux-fur that is more attitude than warmth. The coat is usually the whole outfit; what's under it is a footnote. Autumn and winter, and any summer evening with air conditioning strong enough to justify it. Travel, streets, rooftops, the walk to the car.
