A high-gloss burgundy patent trench over a black satin slip dress, with burgundy lace-up lug-sole boots, crouched in a laundromat.

A burgundy patent trench with a high gloss, cut oversized: wide notched lapels, dropped shoulders, long sleeves with buckled straps at the cuff, a storm flap and a self belt left to trail on the floor. The length runs past the knee. Underneath, a black satin slip dress with a deep V neckline, thin straps and a short hem. On the feet, burgundy leather lace-up boots with a thick lug sole and a rounded toe, laced to the ankle.

It is a night look for the coldest months that is still mostly coat. The dress stays plain so the patent can be loud, and the boots match the coat rather than the dress, which keeps the black to a single stripe down the middle. Hair down, sleeves left long, belt untied.
