Oxblood looks

Oxblood is burgundy with the lights off: a red so dark it reads as brown or black until the light hits, and then it reads as intent. Leather is its natural fabric, then velvet, then patent. Dahlia wears it in jackets, boots, a corset when the evening deserves one. It is the hardest colour she owns after black and she treats it that way. Autumn and winter, bars, late dinners, anything with a leather jacket in the plan.
