Burgundy leather puff-sleeve jacket with a satin midi skirt

A cropped jacket in burgundy nappa leather with a wide, wing-like collar, a single hidden fastening at the chest and a pointed, asymmetric hem that sits at the hip. The sleeves are the event: knife-pleated leather gathered into a balloon above the elbow and finished with a fitted cuff. Under it, a bias-cut skirt in crinkled wine satin, high-waisted, falling to the calf and catching the lamplight on every fold.

Tone on tone is the rule here: the leather is a shade darker than the satin, and nothing breaks the run of red. A fine black heel, hair down, no tights. Autumn and winter, a dinner in a room with lamps, or a library you are not supposed to be talking in.

Leather and satin in the same colour is not matching. It is a decision.
