Burgundy pleated satin and leather dress with a puff sleeve

An asymmetric dress in burgundy sunray-pleated satin and black leather with one giant puff sleeve and a high-low skirt, worn with platform lace-up boots.

A dress built on a diagonal. The right shoulder carries a single enormous puff sleeve in burgundy satin, pleated in a sunray so the folds fan out from the shoulder, while the left shoulder is a black leather panel with a slit cut-out at the collarbone. The bodice is black leather shaped like a corset front, cut straight across the bust and wrapped by a band of pleated satin that runs under the arm. The skirt is leather at the hip on one side and burgundy sunray pleats everywhere else, short at the front and sweeping to the ankle at the back.

It is a night look that happens to be in a station at one in the morning. Autumn and winter, a platform with chandeliers, a train that is late. Black croc-embossed platform boots with laces, because the pleats need something heavy under them. No coat in the picture; in life, a long black one, open, dropped on the first chair.
