Burgundy looks

Burgundy is Dahlia's red for when red would be too obvious. Wine-dark, warm, softer than oxblood, it is the colour of velvet dresses, satin slips and a lip that matches. It suits the black hair and pale skin without competing with the tattoos, which is why it appears more often than any other colour outside the neutrals. Autumn and winter, dinners, the theatre she keeps meaning to go to. Worn with black, gold, and nothing else.
