Burgundy satin blazer and folded-panel mini skirt

Burgundy liquid satin as a set: a peak-lapel blazer with ruched sleeves over a high-waisted mini skirt folded into angular panels.

A burgundy satin blazer with wide peak lapels and padded shoulders, the sleeves gathered and ruched from shoulder to cuff so they stand out in soft ridges along the arm. It fastens low with a hidden closure and sits at the hip. The skirt is the same liquid satin, folded into overlapping angular panels like paper, high-waisted with a straight waistband, the hem landing short in a pointed wrap.

As a set it is tailoring that has been through a sculptor's hands. The sheen is the whole decoration, so there is nothing else on it: a plain black pointed heel, no tights while the weather allows, and hair down over one shoulder. Dinner, a cocktail bar, anything indoors between October and March.

Ordered pie, did not eat it. The skirt does not bend that way.
