Burgundy satin one-shoulder top, skort and matching blazer
Three pieces, one burgundy: a satin one-shoulder top, a pleated crepe skort and a blazer slung over the shoulders. Tailoring that skipped the trousers.
The top is burgundy satin, one-shoulder, cut straight across the chest with a soft drape over the covered side and tucked in. The skort is the same burgundy in a matte crepe, high-waisted, with a deep inverted pleat at the front that reads as a mini skirt and a tailored short underneath. Over it, a single-breasted blazer in the same cloth, peak lapels, worn on the shoulders without the arms in.
It is a suit with the trousers removed, which makes it a late-afternoon look rather than an office one: cocktail hour in a loft, dinner where the room is warm. Keep the shoes pointed and the legs without tights while the weather allows, then move it to autumn with a black opaque and a chelsea boot. The blazer goes on properly the moment the sun drops.
One colour head to toe is not a risk. It is a decision.
