Oversized cobalt wool blazer with a leather wrap mini skirt
One shade of cobalt in two textures: a slouchy wool blazer over a pebbled leather mini with a folded flap.
The blazer is cut big on purpose: dropped shoulders, wide sleeves pushed up past the wrist, a soft notch lapel and enough length to cover the hip. The wool is matte and dense, which matters, because the skirt underneath is pebbled leather in exactly the same cobalt. It wraps across the front and finishes in a deep folded flap that sits off-centre, so the hem runs on a diagonal.
Worn as a set it reads as tailoring rather than a costume, mostly because nothing else interrupts the colour. No tights, a plain black heel or a pointed boot, and the sleeves stay shoved up so the forearm tattoos and the watch show. It works from late September to the first real cold; after that, add black opaque tights and keep everything else.
I do not wear colour often. When I do, I wear all of it at once.
