A rust suede jacket with leather piping and knife-pleated satin panels, over a layered satin skirt in red and rust, in a studio after dark.

A rust suede jacket with a stand collar, an asymmetric front that closes on a diagonal and black leather piping along every edge. The body is suede; the sides and the inside of the sleeves are knife-pleated satin a shade redder, so the jacket moves with the arms. The sleeves are full and gathered, the hem is cut into points that sit over the hip.

Underneath, a layered maxi skirt in two satins, red under rust, with a handkerchief hem and an opening cut at one hip. Autumn and winter evenings: a dinner, an opening, a late train. The jacket closes to the collar and works alone over black trousers if the skirt is too much. Flat boots keep it from tipping into costume.

Colour is not my thing. This is two colours. I need to sit down.
