Belted cobalt wool blazer with a pleated leather mini

An oversized cobalt wool blazer cinched with a black leather belt, over a pleated cobalt leather mini skirt and matching opaque tights.

The blazer is cobalt wool, oversized through the shoulder and long enough to cover the hip, with deep cuffs that fall over the wrist. A plain black leather belt goes around the outside and turns the boxy shape into a waist. Below it, a short cobalt leather skirt with wide knife pleats, and cobalt opaque tights in the same blue.

The tights are what make it: same colour from shoulder to ankle, so the leather pleats read as texture rather than a separate idea. Autumn and winter, late coffee, a night out that starts in a booth. A black pointed boot or a black pump, to match the belt and nothing else.

The milkshake was not my idea. I am drinking it anyway, slowly, for the light.
