Drape-lapel blazer, leather bustier and zip cargo trousers

A grey melange wool blazer with a navy satin shawl that falls as a drape lapel, worn open and pushed to the elbow. Underneath, a black leather bustier with corset seaming and two small cut-outs at the ribs. The trousers are coated black cotton cargos, high-waisted and cropped above the ankle, with bellows pockets on the leg and a silver zip running the full length of each leg. Black leather ankle boots with a block heel finish it.

This is what I wear to look at other people's work. The blazer does the talking in a white room, the bustier keeps it from reading as office, and the zips mean the trousers can open at the hem over the boot. Autumn through spring, evening openings, dinner after. Hair down, lilac nails, nothing else.

Everyone was looking at the bronze. The bronze was looking at the trousers.
