Statement trousers

Statement trousers are what Dahlia wears when she wants to be looked at without wearing a dress about it. Wide legs that move before she does, cargo pockets that have never held anything, leather cut sharp enough to sit down carefully, pleats that turn walking into an event. The top is usually quiet, a tank or a fitted knit, because the trousers are not sharing. Good for daytime, offices she doesn't work in, and dinners that turn into a second venue. They work most of the year; the leather ones wait for autumn.
