Leather bustier, one-shoulder drape and grey tulle skirt
A black leather bustier under a burgundy pleated one-shoulder drape, with a raw-edged denim waistband and a layered grey tulle skirt.
Three materials that should not get along, in one look. A black leather bustier with a pointed hem, worn under a single panel of burgundy pleated satin that runs from the hip over one shoulder and leaves the other arm free. Below it, a skirt built on a raw-edged indigo denim yoke that drops to a point at one side, with layers of smoke-grey tulle falling to the floor underneath.
It is an evening piece that happens to be cut from day fabrics. A loft, window light, somewhere with a bar. The arm that is uncovered is the one with the most ink, which was not an accident. Spring and autumn; in summer the tulle is fine, the leather is not, and I wear it anyway. Flat sandal under all that tulle, since a heel disappears.
Tulle catches on everything. Including the conversation.

styling notes
- Let one arm stay uncovered; the asymmetry is the look
- Black smartwatch and the bead bracelet, nothing else on the arms
- A flat sandal under the tulle; a heel disappears anyway
