Burgundy leather and satin draped dress with cape sleeves

The dress is built in two materials in one colour. The front and the sleeves are pebbled burgundy leather, cut into a V neck bodice and two short cape sleeves that stand away from the shoulder in sharp folds. From the waist down, burgundy satin takes over: a draped, asymmetric skirt that falls past the knee on one side and opens in a side slit on the other, with a leather panel running down the front so the two surfaces meet in a seam.

It is a dinner dress that walks like a coat. Worn with black ankle-strap stiletto sandals and nothing else that competes, because the sleeves do the work. Autumn and spring, late, indoors; the leather does not like rain and the satin does not like heat.
