Burgundy crinkled blazer dress with black leather panels

The top half is a blazer: burgundy crinkled crepe, notch lapels, a deep V wrap and padded shoulders with a small tab at the seam. A flat black leather panel crosses the hip like a pocket flap, and a second leather band runs down from the waist into the skirt.

The skirt is draped and wrapped, gathered high on one side and falling to a handkerchief point below the knee, open at the front. The crinkle keeps it from looking like suiting; the leather keeps it from looking soft. Wear it to an opening or a long dinner in autumn and spring, with a black pointed heel.

Everyone came to see the sculpture. I stood next to it to make the comparison easy.
