Burgundy and rust colour-block blazer with a draped skirt
A fitted blazer split burgundy and rust, wrapped at the waist, over an asymmetric draped skirt in the same two satins.
A single-breasted blazer cut in two colours down the centre line: burgundy wool on one side, rust on the other, with the rust side extending into a panel that wraps across the waist and ties off at the hip. Peak lapels, a flap pocket, three buttons at the cuff. The fit is close through the body, so the colour split reads as a line rather than a block.
Below it, a draped skirt in burgundy and rust satin, cut on an angle so it falls to the ankle on one side and above the knee on the other. Spring and autumn, a gallery evening, a dinner where the lighting is warm. A black pointed pump keeps it tailored; a boot would turn it into something else.
Two colours at once. I need to lie down.
