The blazer is navy in a fine textured weave, cut with strong shoulders, a stand collar faced in black leather, bracelet-length sleeves with leather turn-back cuffs and a hem that drops into asymmetric points at the front. It closes edge to edge with no visible button. The skirt is a navy wrap in a smooth matte fabric, knee-length, crossing at the front with a clean overlap.

This is office tailoring that does not look like anyone else's at the meeting. Autumn through spring, with a pointed black pump or a sock boot; in winter, fine black tights. The leather trim is enough contrast, so keep the rest navy. It travels well: the weave does not crease and the skirt sits flat on a train.
