Cobalt draped one-shoulder top with navy brocade shorts
A cobalt satin top draped into a one-shoulder sweep, over tailored navy brocade shorts and black heels.
The top is cobalt satin, fitted through the body with a straight neckline and a single thin strap, with a wide swathe of the same satin draped across the chest and over one shoulder like a stole. The shorts are navy brocade, high-waisted and tailored with a clean front and a narrow hem, the pattern a raised floral that reads as texture more than print. Black heels with a thin ankle strap.
A look for a warm, overcast day on a balcony, and for the dinner that follows it, since the top is already doing evening. Spring to early autumn. With a long black coat it survives a cold night out; with a flat sandal it becomes lunch.
Two blues on purpose. People will ask if it was on purpose.
