Cobalt wool peplum jacket with a tiered skirt and knee boots
A cobalt boiled-wool jacket with puff sleeves and a peplum over a midi skirt built from wool, satin and mesh, all the same blue.
The jacket is cobalt boiled wool with notched lapels, a single button and sleeves that balloon from the shoulder to a fitted cuff, finished with a short peplum that flares over the hip. The skirt underneath is the same cobalt in four fabrics at once: a panel of brushed wool, a flat wool tier, a glossy satin lining and a band of open mesh at the hem, each layer cut to a different length so the textures stack. Black leather knee boots with a block heel finish it.
A daytime look for a cold market or a long walk, the jacket buttoned once and the sleeves pushed up. Autumn and winter; the boots carry it through rain. Keep everything else off: no bag, no scarf, let the blue do the talking.
I came for a tapestry. I left with opinions.
