Cobalt ruffle-back jacket with a draped leather mini skirt

A cobalt crepe jacket with a cascading ruffle at the back over a faux leather mini skirt with a long satin drape down one side.

From behind, the jacket is the whole story: cobalt crepe with a fitted waist and a deep ruffle that falls from the shoulders and breaks over the elbows like a short cape. The sleeves stop at three-quarter length. The skirt is faux leather in the same blue, cut short and close to the body, with a panel of satin wrapped across the front and left to hang in a long, pointed drape at the side.

Two finishes, one colour: the matte crepe and the shine of the leather keep it from going flat under casino light. Wear it for a late table or a night that starts with dinner, autumn or spring, with a plain pointed heel and nothing else in blue.

I was told the house always wins. The house had never seen this skirt.
