Cobalt cropped wrap jacket with a draped textured midi skirt

A cropped cobalt crepe jacket that wraps at the front, over a textured cobalt midi skirt with a folded drape and a front slit.

The jacket stops above the waist and wraps across the front with wide lapels, leaving a strip of midriff between it and the skirt. The sleeves are full and gathered up above the wrist so they bunch at the forearm. Underneath, the skirt is a heavier textured cobalt weave with a wide waistband, a long folded panel that falls from the hip in soft pleats, and a slit at the front.

It is a matching set built on two textures of the same blue: smooth crepe on top, a slubby weave below. A pointed heel and nothing else. For spring and summer evenings, a cocktail hour or a launch where the dress code says smart and the room says hotel carpet.

The corridor was long. The jacket made it look short.
