Cobalt colour-block satin blazer with matching shorts
A cobalt satin blazer cut with black side panels and balloon sleeves, worn as a suit with its own shorts.
The blazer is cobalt satin with a vertical black panel running from the shoulder to the hem on each side, peak lapels, a single black button and long balloon sleeves that gather into a narrow cuff. The front dips to a point below the button. The shorts repeat the colour-block: cobalt with a black band down the side, high-waisted, cut short and clean.
It is worn as a two-piece, the blazer closed on its one button with nothing layered over it, and cobalt block-heel sandals with an ankle strap keep the colour going to the floor. It is a hotel-corridor look for a warm evening, spring into summer, the kind of suit that walks into a dinner and does not need a bag. In colder months the shorts take opaque tights and the sandals turn into a pointed boot.
I do not do colour often. When I do, the whole corridor hears about it.

styling notes
- Wear it as a suit; a top under the blazer breaks the line
- Sandals in the same blue, nothing metallic
- Opaque black tights in winter
