Cobalt satin blazer dress with black leather lapels
A cobalt satin blazer dress with sharp padded shoulders, black leather lapels and pocket flaps, and a wrap-front skirt, leaning on a bookshelf.
A blazer dress in cobalt satin with the shoulders built up square and sharp, the sleeves ruched down the arm and the front wrapped and fastened at a single point at the waist. The lapels are in black leather, wide and peaked, and the same leather runs across the hip pockets as flaps and down the sides of the bodice. The skirt is a wrap, cut short, and the two halves overlap at the front and fall open at the leg.
Black at the lapel means black at the foot: a sandal with a thin ankle strap and nothing else. Hair down, lilac nails, no tights. All-season, a study with too many books and an old desk, the kind of room where the air conditioner hums and the meeting runs long.
Satin and leather on the same dress. Two problems, one answer.
