Teal draped satin top with a leather pencil skirt
Tonal teal: a draped satin top falling into a long point over a pebbled leather pencil skirt, with sculptural-heel slingbacks.
Everything here is one shade of teal in three finishes. The top is fluid satin with a high round neck and short cut-on sleeves, draped across the body so the fabric gathers at one side and falls in a long pointed panel past the hip. The skirt is pebbled leather, cut close as a pencil skirt with a seam across the hip and a hem just above the ankle. The shoes are pointed teal slingbacks with an ankle strap and a cut-away sculptural heel.
Tonal dressing looks expensive because it hides nothing and has nothing to hide. Wear it to the office in autumn and winter, then straight to dinner without changing a thing; in spring it works with the same slingbacks and no coat. Keep the hair long and straight and let the satin point do the moving.
The library allows silence and good posture. I brought both.
