Green satin draped top with wide-leg wool trousers

A short-sleeved top in deep green satin, pleated on the diagonal from one shoulder across the body so the fabric fans out as it goes. One sleeve is a plain cap; the other is cut as a wide folded wing that stands off the arm and catches the light on its upper edge. The neck is high and round, which leaves the sleeve to do the talking.

It is tucked into high-waisted wide-leg trousers in a green wool with a visible weave, a pressed front crease and a single pleat. Satin above, wool below, the same colour at two different volumes. It suits an office that allows a shoulder, or dinner, from autumn through spring, with a pointed boot under the hem and nothing added on top.
