Navy satin draped top with an iridescent organza skirt
A navy satin top draped into sculptural cap sleeves, over a full iridescent organza skirt that turns violet in the sun.
A navy satin top cut like origami: the fabric is folded and draped from one shoulder across the body into wide, stiff cap sleeves that stand away from the arms, then pulled in at the waist and released into a short peplum hem. No visible fastening, no collar, just the fold. Under it, a full midi skirt in crinkled organza that shifts between navy, violet and petrol depending on where the light lands, layered enough to hold its shape.
This is a summer evening outfit shot in the hard light of a stone courtyard, which is the test it passes. For a cocktail hour or an event the top is the whole argument; the skirt only needs to move. A pointed navy sandal and nothing on the neck. Cooler nights take a cropped navy jacket over the shoulders, never over the sleeves.
The sleeves do not fit through a car door. I did not plan on sitting down anyway.
