Oversized cobalt blazer with a terracotta satin wrap skirt
An oversized cobalt wool blazer over a silver metallic camisole and a terracotta satin wrap skirt, read at a sidewalk cafe.
An oversized cobalt blazer in a flat wool, single-breasted with two dark buttons, flap pockets and shoulders cut wide enough to belong to someone else. Under it a silver metallic camisole with a soft V, and a terracotta satin wrap skirt that ties at the waist and falls to the knee with a side slit where the panels overlap.
Three colours that should not sit together and do: cobalt, terracotta and a flash of silver. The blazer is the coat for spring and early autumn mornings; the skirt moves enough to be worn seated all afternoon. Flat sandals or a pointed slingback, no tights. Keep everything else quiet, the palette is already loud enough.
I do not read the news. I read the paper for the typefaces and let the rest of the terrace think I am informed.
