Deconstructed navy satin jacket and two-tone pleated skirt

A navy satin off-the-shoulder jacket with puff sleeves and raw edges, over a pleated skirt cut half in navy and half in charcoal wool.

A deconstructed jacket in navy satin and charcoal wool, cut to sit off the shoulders with a single raw-edged lapel folded back on one side and big gathered puff sleeves that end at the elbow. Every seam is left unfinished on purpose, so the frayed wool edge runs along the lapel and the hem like a drawn line. Below, a knee-length pleated skirt split down the middle: navy knife pleats on one side, charcoal wool on the other, with a longer panel dropping at the back.

It is tailoring taken apart and put back together wrong, in a good way. Autumn and spring, worn in a brick loft with window light, no tights, a pointed black pump or a flat black loafer. Keep the hair down and off the shoulders so the neckline reads. Nothing at the neck.

The edges are supposed to fray. The thread on the floor is not a mistake either, but I am not picking it up.
