A black leather biker jacket cut with a peplum hem, over a draped asymmetric linen skirt and zipped ankle boots in an old stone alley.

A black leather biker jacket with a twist: the classic asymmetric zip and wide notched lapels on top, and below the waist a peplum that flares and falls to uneven points, so it reads as a jacket from the front and a short coat from the side. The sleeves are long and pushed up; the leather is soft and matte. Under it, a draped midi skirt in crinkled black linen, gathered at one hip and falling to an asymmetric hem that drops longer on the other side. Black leather ankle boots with a side zip and a low block heel.

All black in full sun, which is the only way I know how to do spring and autumn. It walks through an old town all day and sits down to dinner without changing, because nothing here is precious. Swap the boots for a flat sandal in the heat; keep the jacket on anyway.

Thirty degrees. Still leather. I have been told, and I have ignored it.
