Cobalt pleated-front top with split sleeves and culottes
A cobalt two-piece: a high-neck top with a pleated front panel and split sleeves, over wide pleated culottes that stop below the knee.
A cobalt top in a crisp cotton-wool blend with a high asymmetric wrap neckline, a panel of vertical pleats released from the chest down to a stepped hem, and long sleeves split open from the shoulder to the cuff so the arms show through the opening. Below it, matching culottes in the same cloth: high-waisted, double-pleated at the front with a pressed crease, cut wide and ending just below the knee.
One colour, one cloth, two pieces. It is the easiest thing in the lookbook to actually wear: a summer and late-spring daytime set that reads as tailoring when the sleeves are closed and as something else when they fall open. Flat black sandals or a pointed slingback. For an office, a black belt at the waist; for a market, nothing but the hands.
Colour is not my department. Today it is. Note the date.
