Burgundy wrap blazer with pleated panels and leather shorts

The blazer is burgundy wool felt cut as a wrap, peak lapels, a self belt tied at the waist, with black pleated chiffon let into the body and the sleeves so the shoulders read as a cape and the pleats fall past the hem. Underneath, high-waisted shorts in burgundy leather with a single flap pocket. Nothing else: the blazer closes on its own.

A Saturday look, the kind for a cafe with a stool and a newspaper and a long coffee. Worn with no tights while the sun holds, and with opaque black tights and a chelsea boot once it does not. Spring and autumn both, and any office that lets a hem sit above the knee.
