Three pieces, one red, no mercy. A burgundy wool blazer with a pleated drape across the shoulder, a satin shirt in the same shade open at the collar, a long draped wool skirt. The canvas is still blank. My outfit did enough work. Wear it to a gallery.
A burgundy wool blazer with puffed shoulders and a pleated drape, over a satin shirt in the same red and a draped wool midi skirt.
Three pieces in one burgundy. The blazer is fitted wool with raised, puffed sleeve heads and a pleated drape that sweeps from one shoulder across the front, closing low in a wrap with flap pockets at the hip. Underneath, a satin shirt in the same red, open at the collar so the shine sits only at the neck.
The skirt is a heavier, textured wool, long and draped, pulled up at one hip into a pointed panel that hangs over the folds. It is tonal dressing at its most serious: an autumn office day, a winter dinner, a gallery that smells of turpentine. Sleeves pushed up, a pointed boot under the hem, nothing else in competition.
I held a brush for the photo. The canvas is still blank and that is its problem.
