Teal cut-out blazer over a satin slip dress
A petrol wool blazer with waist cut-outs and satin pocket drapes, worn over a teal bias-cut satin slip dress at a whisky bar.
A single-button blazer in petrol wool crepe, cut with peak lapels and a long body, opened at the waist by two side cut-outs. From each pocket flap a panel of teal satin hangs to the hem, so the jacket moves like a dress. Under it, a bias-cut slip dress in the same teal satin, V-neck, thin straps, falling straight to the floor.
It is a bar look: one drink in a room with too much wood. The blazer does what a coat would do and the slip does the rest. Autumn and winter, a pointed heel or a sock boot; if it is cold enough for tights, wear black ones. The blazer is long enough to wear closed on its own in spring, with the slip left at home.
Two teals that almost match. The almost is the point.
