Emerald cut-out blazer and pleated faux leather midi skirt
An oversized emerald blazer with slashed elbows over a satin camisole and a pleated faux leather midi skirt, walked across a rooftop at golden hour.
The blazer is emerald suiting cut oversized, with padded shoulders, peak lapels and two buttons left undone. The sleeves are slashed open at the elbow and a long oval is cut out at the side, so the jacket shows the arms in three places while still doing the job of a jacket. Underneath, a black satin camisole tucked into a high-waisted faux leather midi skirt, knife-pleated all the way round so it moves like a fan when she walks.
The rule here is one colour and one shine. Green carries the top, black does everything else, and the faux leather pleats catch the low sun without competing with it. Strappy black sandals that lace around the ankle keep the skirt from looking like office wear. It works on a terrace before dinner from late September to early May; in real cold, add opaque tights and swap the sandals for a pointed boot.
Colour is rare in this wardrobe. When it turns up, it gets the oversized version.
