Ivory blazer with lace side panels and a satin hanky skirt
An ivory wool blazer opened at the sides into lace panels, over a satin skirt cut to long handkerchief points.
The blazer is ivory wool, single-breasted with peak lapels, flap pockets and buttoned cuffs. Its sides are cut away from under the arm to the waist and filled with ivory floral lace, so from the side it reads as tailoring with a lace lining showing through. From the front it is a plain blazer.
The skirt is ivory satin, cut on the bias into an asymmetric handkerchief hem: short at one side, long points at the other, moving with any wind. Black stiletto sandals with a fine ankle strap are the only dark note. Wear it for a spring or summer dinner, or a long drive that ends somewhere with tablecloths.
White on a desert road is a bad idea. That is the reason to do it.
