All white
All white is the exception that proves Dahlia owns a washing machine. Bone, ivory and a white that is actually white, in tailoring, in satin, once or twice in denim. It goes on for daytime, for coast towns, for hotel lobbies where the marble matches, and it goes back on the hanger the moment anyone offers red wine. Spring and summer, mostly, with a winter wool version that she saves for cities where it doesn't rain. Against the black hair and the black ink it reads like a decision, which it is.
