Cobalt leather balloon-sleeve top with a patchwork skirt
A pebbled cobalt leather top with balloon sleeves over a patchwork skirt of indigo silk, navy tweed and raw linen, with a hanging strap.
The top is cobalt leather with a pebbled grain, cut with an asymmetric neckline, short balloon sleeves that stand away from the arm and a hem that sits at the hip. The skirt is a patchwork: panels of indigo silk dupioni, dark navy tweed and raw linen in cream, seamed together with raw edges left showing, falling to mid-calf, with a long cobalt leather strap hanging from the waist through a silver clip.
Leather and rag, one colour family and one that argues with it. It is a daytime look for summer and early autumn, worn seated more often than standing: an antiques market, a flea market, a lunch that runs long. Flat sandals or a low boot; the skirt is already doing the work. No bag, the strap is the accessory.
I came for a lamp. I left with an opinion about chairs.
