A cobalt crinkled linen suit: a short-sleeve wrap blazer with cut-out shoulders and a long chiffon sash, straight trousers left raw at the hem.

A summer suit in cobalt crinkled linen. The blazer is a wrap with a notched lapel, short sleeves with a slit at the shoulder seam, and a long sash in matching chiffon that ties at the waist and falls past the knee. The trousers are straight and slightly cropped, the hem left raw so the linen frays a little more every wash. Black heeled sandals with a thin ankle strap.

It is tailoring you can sit in for two hours in the sun, which is what tailoring in July has to do. Spring and summer, a pavement table, an airport, a city that is mostly stairs. Hair down, nails lilac, watch on. The sash can also tie at the back if the chair is small.

I read the whole menu and ordered coffee. The suit was not wasted.
