Cobalt wool blazer, satin cowl camisole and navy trousers
A cobalt wool blazer with wide peak lapels and one button, over a satin cowl-neck camisole and dark navy trousers, worn on a night train.
A single-button blazer in cobalt wool, fitted through the waist with wide peak lapels that sit flat and a sharp shoulder; the hem flares slightly over the hip. Under it, a camisole in cobalt satin with a draped cowl neckline that catches the window light. Dark navy trousers, straight and plain, cut long. The blazer and the camisole are the same blue in two different finishes, matte and liquid, and that is the whole idea.
Train dressing: a blazer you can sleep in, a camisole that looks like you did not. Autumn through spring, an overnight carriage, a meeting at the other end, dinner if the train is late. Hair down and the sleeves left long. A loafer or a low block heel, nothing that fights a corridor.
Blue light, blue suit. Coincidence. I planned it.
