Camel wool wrap coat over a black turtleneck and dark jeans
A camel wool wrap coat worn open over a black ribbed turtleneck and washed charcoal straight jeans, with pointed ankle boots and an armful of flowers.
A camel wool wrap coat, long and unstructured, with a wide notched collar, patch pockets and a self-belt left untied so the fronts swing. Under it, a black ribbed knit turtleneck, fitted and tucked into charcoal washed straight-leg jeans with a high waist and a clean full-length hem. Black leather ankle boots with a pointed toe and a slim heel finish the bottom.
Camel against black is the whole idea: the coat is the only colour and it is a warm one, so the rest stays dark and quiet. This is autumn and winter on a pavement, coat open, belt hanging, one hand in a pocket. The turtleneck does what a scarf would, without the scarf. If the coat is belted, cinch it high and let the jeans show below the hem.
The flowers were a prop. The coat was not. I know which one I would keep.
