Black leather biker jacket with olive wide-leg trousers

A black leather biker jacket with an asymmetric zip, snap-down lapels and zipped cuffs, worn open and fitted through the shoulder. Under it, a plain charcoal tee with a crew neck, tucked into olive wide-leg trousers that sit high on the waist, with a flat front, a pressed crease and a full, straight leg to the ankle. Black leather loafers with a snaffle bar and a thick lug sole finish it.

The trousers carry the outfit: a colour that reads as neutral next to black, and a width that makes the jacket look sharper than it is. Spring or autumn, a record shop, a stool. The jacket stays open so the tee and the ink do the talking; the loafers keep the hem off the floor. If it gets colder, a black knit under the jacket instead of the tee, nothing more.

Olive counts as colour. For me, that is a bold week.
