A silver crinkled metallic taffeta wrap dress with built-up shoulders, a high funnel collar and angled panels that cross the body, cut short.

A wrap dress in silver crinkled metallic taffeta, the fabric crushed so it moves between gunmetal and bright silver as the light shifts. The shoulders are built up and square, the collar stands high and folds like a funnel, and the body is pieced from angled panels that cross the front and close at the hip with no visible fastening. The sleeves are long and pushed up. The hem is short and cut on a diagonal.

It is a dress that behaves like a jacket, so it goes where jackets go: a cold warehouse, a late private view, a bar with concrete floors. Autumn and winter nights. Worn on its own, no tights, a pointed black heel or a black sock boot. The crinkle means it never needs pressing and always looks slept in on purpose.
