Ribbed knit crop jumper with a colour-block wool wrap skirt

A slate ribbed knit with leather-bound edges over a mustard and charcoal wool wrap skirt closed with a D-ring.

The jumper is a slate blue ribbed knit, cropped to the ribs, with a leather binding in the same colour along the hem, the cuffs and a stripe down each sleeve; the sleeves are wide and gather at the wrist. The skirt is felted wool in two colours: a charcoal A-line underskirt, and a mustard wrap panel that crosses the front, closes with a silver D-ring at the waist and drops to the knee on one side, with a charcoal patch pocket set into it.

Knit and felt, a cropped top and a long wrap, nothing tight anywhere; the waist shows between the two and that is the whole fit. It is an autumn daytime look, worn with a flat boot or a loafer, for studios, galleries and afternoons with the hands busy. A long coat over it in winter, the skirt is warm enough.

Mustard. I know. It was a difficult morning.
