The shoulders arrive first. I follow. A petrol satin gown, draped from one shoulder, with black leather set into the bodice and waist, and a fan of pleats standing up on each side. It needs three seats at dinner. I only answer for one. Save it for assigned tables.
A draped petrol satin gown with black leather panels, an open waist and pleated fan shoulders that enter the room first.
A gown in petrol satin, somewhere between teal and deep green, draped across the body from one shoulder. Half of the bodice is black leather, cut flat against the satin folds, and a leather band runs around the waist below a wide opening at the left side. At each shoulder a fan of knife pleats stands up and out like a small wing. The skirt wraps over itself, gathers into deep folds and opens in a high side slit.
It is an evening piece and it does not pretend otherwise: a gala, a premiere, a dinner with assigned seats. The cut leaves both arms and one side open, so it suits the months when that is comfortable, or a room with heating. Hair straight, nothing else added.
The shoulders need their own seat. I have told the venue.
