The jacket is cropped to the waist and pieced from burgundy and charcoal wool in sharp geometric panels: a wide pointed collar, panels that cut across the chest on the diagonal, and long bishop sleeves that balloon from the shoulder and gather into tight charcoal cuffs. The shorts match, high-waisted, with a burgundy centre and charcoal side panels, cut clean with a short hem.
A set like this does its own styling. It is a daytime outfit for galleries, long lunches and spring afternoons, and an autumn one with opaque tights and an ankle boot. Keep the shoes dark and plain; the sleeves are already the loudest thing in the building, including the sculptures.
Looked at a bronze for a while. Good shoulders. My sleeves have better ones.
