Red leather biker jacket with mesh panels and a satin skirt
A fitted red leather biker jacket cut with black mesh panels, zipped over a black satin skirt with a high-low hem.
A biker jacket in red leather, cut close to the body and sliced with curved panels of black mesh at the sides, the sleeves and the waist, so the red reads as armour plates over a dark grid. Asymmetric front zip, snap-fastened lapels, a short stand collar; the hem stops at the hip. Under it, a black satin skirt cut high at the front and dipping to the calf at the back, full enough to move.
The pairing is leather on satin, red on black, and it works at night: dinner in a converted barn, a bar with a wooden floor, a long drive afterwards. Autumn and spring weather, the jacket zipped to the sternum, a pointed black boot or a pump under the skirt. The mesh panels are built into the pattern, not an afterthought.
The jacket has more panels than I have patience. We get along.
