A cobalt satin top with one shoulder under a double ruffle, over a black faux leather cargo mini skirt with D-rings. Hard sun, harder concrete.

A one-shoulder top in cobalt satin, fitted through the body, with a double ruffle that runs from the covered shoulder down across the chest and stands up in the wind. Under it, a black faux leather mini skirt cut like cargo trousers: high-waisted with belt loops and D-rings, flap pockets with silver snaps at each hip, a straight hem well above the knee.

Summer, obviously, and daytime: the satin catches the sun and the faux leather does not care about it. It goes from an afternoon of errands to a terrace at nine without changing anything but the shoe; a flat black sandal in the heat, a black pointed pump after dark. No tights, small hoops, the watch.

Blue in July. I have been told it is brave. It is mostly hot.
