Straps and belts

Straps and belts are leather hardware treated as part of the tailoring. A shoulder-strap belt over a plain black top, belts stacked at the waist of a blazer, buckles and straps that sharpen a silhouette the way a good lapel does. Dahlia lets the hardware do what more jewellery would, which is convenient, because she keeps hers to small hoops, a watch and one bracelet. The rest of the outfit stays simple so the straps can make their point. These are night looks, for rock bars, industrial rooms and the occasional rooftop; they run all year, over knitwear in winter and over a fitted tank in summer.
