Cobalt jacquard cape blazer over a black satin slip dress
A cobalt floral jacquard blazer with open cape sleeves, cinched by a black leather shoulder-strap belt over a black satin slip dress.
The blazer is cobalt jacquard with a tonal floral pattern woven into the cloth, notched lapels and flap pockets. The sleeves are cut as open capes: they fall from the shoulder in loose folds and part along the arm, so the blazer moves like a wrap. A black leather shoulder-strap belt runs over one shoulder and round the waist, fastening with silver buckles and pulling the shape in.
Under it, a black satin slip dress with a V neckline and an asymmetric hem that drops lower on one side. Wear it in spring and autumn, browsing on a slow afternoon or straight on to dinner, with a pointed black heel or a sleek ankle boot. The belt is what makes the blazer wearable: without it, the capes would win every argument.
I went in for a mirror frame and spent an hour reading old labels on medicine bottles. Both were worth it.
